NC Saltwater License Petition

Petition in support of a recreational saltwater fishing license

The undersigned hereby petition the NC Legislature to enact a saltwater fishing license program in North Carolina.

This petition's purpose is:

1. To remind our legislators that the recreational community does exist.

2. We believe a saltwater fishing license will provide funds to the DMF for the preservation and enhancement of the resource.

3. We believe a saltwater fishing license will provide the DMF with funds for better resource management and regulation enforcement.

4. The funds must be used for fishery management, resource enhancement and regulation enforcement. The funds cannot go into the state's general fund.
